What was the last time you played Halo on your PC? It was probably 2007, when Halo 2 was released for the PC platform. The first installment of this series, Halo: Combat Evolved, also had a PC version that came out in 2004. But the next titles (after the second installment) in the Halo franchise, have been Xbox exclusive, thus leaving the PC users in pain and agony. The intense story-driven action packed sci-fi first-person shooter series, Halo has been always critically acclaimed, for delivering an unforgettable as well as amazing experience to gamers, through it’s each and every installment. But the good news is, the upcoming title in the franchise, Halo 5: Guardians, will have a PC version too. No, you are not watching a dream….face it…it’s reality and hence, control your emotions.
In a recent live gameplay session, the franchise director, Frank O’Connor said, “There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason. We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today on this chat.”

Halo 5 on PC sounds like a bombshell and this move has been probably made targeting the anti-piracy policy of Windows 10 as well as it’s promising future for game developers. However no official release date for the game has been mentioned yet. Halo 5: Guardians will be out for Xbox One on 27th October.
