MacX Video Converter Pro Review: Giveaway valid till 14th August

Last updated on August 18th, 2017

Hello readers, struggling to find a good software to convert the videos? Well, I think I’ve got one for you. To be honest, it’s one of them, may not be the one for you (choices differ). The original price is $49.95 and there’s a holiday special offer at $34.95. But, we bring you the PRO edition for free! (*Condition- You won’t get upgrade benefits).

So, when we look at the name, “Mac” comes to our attention and generally we think it’s related to Mac OS only. But, don’t worry, we have got the giveaway versions for both Windows and Mac as well. However, this review is valid only for Windows and partially for Mac OS X. If you have a habit to just download a software, then you should be careful next time (if you are one of ’em). Always try to browse for the online software reviews which can help you decide better.

We present you the software review of MacX Video Converter PRO (Mac OS X / Windows). And, at the end of the article, you’ll find the link to grab yours for free!

The UI

We can’t ignore the user interface of any software, no matter how useful it is. The UI is the main factor which attracts a user to try it out. If a software looks ugly, then there’s a rare chance that it would be a popular software.

Here, we have a simple and clean UI. It could have been a bit more modern. Never mind readers, it’s just me!

The Features

It’s an all-in-one video converter software tool. Let’s look at the key features:

– HD Video Converter

– Fast Speed & High-Quality Conversion

– Camera Video Recorder

– Screen Recorder (Exclusively for Mac OS X)

– Download Online YouTube video

– Supports Conversion to almost all types of devices

– Photo Slideshow Maker

– Edit Video (Basic)

– Add Subtitle to a Video

Well, I’m impressed, several useful features on a 28 MB packaged size software!

The Working

No matter how many features there are, it should work as expected. We tested each and every feature of this software and found no problems at all! We want to suggest a close button or cancel button at the output selection window. When we select a video, you would have to select the desired output format, and then you’ll be able to clear it from the list if you have selected the wrong one. But, we suggest a cancel option after selecting the video (on the output profile windows as shown below).

It supports numerous devices and formats. But, it’s a bit confusing. It lists out specific target devices. Here’s a screenshot to it:

macx hd video converter screenshot2It’s not possible to include each and every model of smartphones (iOS, Android and General). So, a user may get confused when he/she wants a target device which isn’t listed in the software’s output selection list. The list could be more compact yet descriptive.

The Performance

We encountered a major problem (at least that’s a problem for us). The software takes 90-100% of Processing power to convert a video.

Personally, I’ve experienced video converting software (excluding other features) which takes merely 20-30% of Processing power while conversion. So, I would add this as a downside for this software. Maybe, it could be a problem exclusively with Windows 8.1 Pro (which I am using). But, if this is a universal issue for Windows system, then this software may prevent you from Multi-Tasking while conversion process in a low-end system. I recommend you to give it a try, after all it’s free for you!

At the same time, I did not encounter any glitches in the program. Maybe, I have an i7 processor to suffice the needs of the program.

It’s giveaway time! You can download the software for free here.

*Note: The giveaway expires in 10 days. You may find the timer telling you 5 days left, but they will update it soon.
