Well, recently we had covered up a similar threat from Elephone to Xiaomi Mi 4i. And, that was Elephone P3000S, an old release but still great. But this seems to be bigger and better. As we know that these two devices have already impressed the Indian market as well as other European markets. Elephone unveiled the P7000 recently, a clever launch though. This device comes with a price tag of 14,600 INR or $229.
Before moving in to the detailed specs, we should know about the OS on which the device runs. Well, it’s powered up by Android 5.0 Lollipop. There are no further confirmations on the device getting 5.1.x Lollipop upgrade.
The Display
This hotshot device sports an awesome 5.5 inch Full HD ( 1080×1980 ) screen. Well, here comes to your mind… – What? 5.5 inch screen ?, that’s damn good. It may not be the same for all. So, Elephone has integrated a great quality screen, to attract users who rarely like big screen smartphones. Here’s the good news- it has 400 ppi density. That’s too good for a 5.5 inch FHD display. You can experience gaming, movies and other stuffs with a crisp yet big display. Oh! protection glass ? Yeah! It comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also has a metal bezel making it more tough yet light being made of magnalium.
The Camera
It features a 13 MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture. So, having mentioned that it would provide good quality images in the dark with such aperture. And, to enrich the video call experience it has got a 5 MP front camera. Both being promised to have an excellent quality and that of the rear being claimed as a SONY lens on their official site.
The Performance
Well, Pioneer runs on a 64-bit architecture with eight hearts, that’s an octa-core processor (MediaTek MT6752), this chip is better than the Snapdragon 615, and can still be compared to the Snapdragon 810. It may not get a “win” from Snapdragon 810 comparison, but it consumes less power than the Snapdragon 810. In other words, its more efficient. What on earth did I miss ? Yeah! The RAM. It has got 3 Gigs of RAM, that’s more than enough for the device. And a user won’t fear for the performance benchmarks with these great combo of specs.
For gaming, it comes with the Mali-T760 GPU, which is scalable upto 16 cores with a great energy efficiency. Nevertheless, it makes Gaming awesome at this price range.
4G Connectivity ?
Yes, it supports 4G LTE network. Expected to have a maximum of 150 Mbps transfer speed over the network.
Showcase Feature
iPhone 6 has got a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Well, you get the same feature on this device with a price tag of $229 inspite of spending $600 (minimum) for an iPhone 6. It has been integrated with a 360 degree rotation fingerprint identification, which makes it more convenient to use. You can find it on the rear side just below the camera.
