Xiaomi To Possibly Introduce Windows 10 Tablet

Chinese Smartphone Giant Xiaomi might be working on their next attraction, the Xiaomi Tab which will feature the latest Windows 10 as it’s operating system. Good news for Windows and obviously Xiaomi fans as well! First reported by Gizmo China, a renowned tech analyst Pan Jiutang claimed that the smartphone company and the PC giant Microsoft  are working together to bring in the next big hype.

We aren’t sure if it’s just a rumor or not but I am certainly in for it. Where Apple iPad is just a dream for me, I can easily afford to have a Xiaomi Pad in my hand. Yes, the predecessor of the upcoming tablet, the Mi Pad 7.9 was sold only at $198 and I am pretty sure the new tab will be within $300 price range. Earlier the company announced a custom Windows 10 ROM update for their Mi 4 phones this March and the update is already operational for Mi 4 users. There was also rumors that the new tab would introduce dual-boot system which will enable both Windows 10 and Android to run side by side.

Xiaomi is the 2nd largest smartphone brand in China. With their growing consumers over the past years, Microsoft is likely to partner up with Xiaomi, about time. It’s the massive Chinese market which actually inspired them to give Windows 10 for ‘free’. Also falling market of Nokia devices is another reason behind this. Not only in China but also Xiaomi is well appreciated in India as well!

The tablet isn’t officially announced so we don’t have much details about what its technical specs will be or if it’s gonna come with standard Windows 10 or Windows 10 mobile. So we have to wait a bit more. Till then folks stay tuned!
