Vivo’s recent flagship and the first smartphone to have an in-display fingerprint scanner – Vivo X21– has been the topic of interest for quite a while. Now, it’s time for its successors to show up, and what’s better than an unofficial teaser?
Well, unlike other leaks, Vivo’s own digital assistant Jovi, when asked by a Weibo user (the original post has been taken down), informed the launch date for Vivo X23.
Here’s the screenshot of conversation after the user asked the assistant about new Vivo products:
Seconds after inquiring about the new Vivo products, the assistant questioned – Are you asking of Vivo X23?
And, then the user asked specifically about the launch date for Vivo X23, which was followed by a reply – “August 20th will reveal something big.”
It’s totally possible that the AI assistant replied gibberish – but it is being considered a solid launch date because the reply was very specific.
In addition to the release date, it is also rumored that the smartphone may offer up to 10 Gigs of RAM along with the AI assistant – which is currently present on Vivo’s NEX S and NEX A. Also, the Vivo X23 variants are expected to be powered up by the Snapdragon 670 / Snapdragon 710 SoC while offering fast charging support.
For now, we only have a few details about the Vivo X23. However, you should expect bigger leaks (or official announcements) in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates!
