Remember Prince of Persia? To be frank, most of us grew up playing those type of games. Well, we can never forget Sands of Time or the Warrior Within. Games like those gave us thrilling experiences with lots of actions. The latest of the series, launched by Ubisoft was,’The Forgotten Sands’ in 2010. Later, we never came to know about any other updates to the franchise, as the company was busy in developing the Assassins Creed series and soon, within a couple of years the series recieved widespread critical acclaim and thus, the Prince was ‘forgotten in the sands’.
But now our Prince is back. Recently, there has been news that Ubisoft has taken steps to develop a new 2D Prince of Persia title. The company has taken the help of UbiArt Framework, the same engine that was used to design ‘Rayman Origins’ and ‘Child of Light’. The engine will help to run anmations like combat moves, wall jumps,etc.
No release date for the game has been confirmed yet by Ubisoft.
