After collaboration with LG ,last year with the launch of Nexus 5 ,Google showed that there is still a place for its Nexus devices in the market despite there being other high end Android smartphones.Nexus 5 not only gave Google the boost but also LG which performed exceptionally well in the market last year . After its widespread success of Nexus 5,Google planned on moving on,not with LG,but with Motorola which also has backed into the market with its mid range smartphones last year. But will the new Motorola Nexus 6 bring the same amount of success or more?Lets find out!!
For a smartphone to be successful it needs to have
- A powerful processor with bold performance
- Great camera
- Elegant Display and design
- Fine Sound quality
- Good Battery
- Good UI
- Adequate Price
Does the Nexus 6 have all these??Check out below:
A Powerful Processor with Bold Performance:
With the comparison of specs between the Nexus 6 and Nexus 5; 6 has better, faster and newer processor than 5, with the Snapdragon 805 Chipset and Quad core 2.7 GHz Krait 405 CPU and with Adreno 420 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), Nexus 6 is far more advanced than its predecessor and also other high end smartphones out there. It also has a 3 GB RAM which gives it another plus point over Nexus 5. It has a 32/64 GB internal memory with no SD Card Slot. So I’d say with these features, its performance will be “Bold”.
Great Camera:
The new Nexus 6 has 13MP primary camera with OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) and Dual LED flash. However, the other camera features are more or less same like-HDR, Photo Sphere, Dual recording, etc. The Video recording is far more forged i.e: with the 2160p HD recording. The secondary camera is 2 MP which supports video calling and 1080p recording.
Elegant Display and Design:
With a 5.96″AMOLED screen and 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, Nexus 6 looks quite dashing. Also, its 493 ppi creates a clear vision in bright light. The Gorilla Glass 3 provides sturdiness and solidity to the screen.
Fine Sound Quality:
Like in the Nexus 5, not much upgrades are done in the sound department of this phone. But still the sound quality is awesome, as I think because of the stereo speakers.
Good Battery:
Unlike many other Android phones, Nexus series has been known for its good battery backup. Also unlike the Nexus 5, 6 has 3300 mAh battery which lasts more than a day in talk time.
Good UI:
As we know that User Interface is the connection between the phone and the user, so with the launch of Android L, Nexus 6 is sure to operate on it and will definitely have a good UI. Also, with the Android OS without any extra customization, you are provided with a decent workspace to suit your needs.
Adequate Price:
Well…as the phone hasn’t been released, so there is no speculation regarding the exact price. However, rumors say it might range between 30000 INR and 45000 INR.
So now back to our main question “Will the Nexus 6 be more successful than Nexus 5 or not?”The Answer is “Yes” because of its stunning features it will definitely be more successful. However, the only concern is the price. In a country like India, many people favor mid range smartphones and very few prefer high-end devices. So, as to meet the desire of the public, it needs to be within the price range as expected by the public.
