New trailer out for Assassin’s Creed Unity’s free DLC, Dead Kings, date announced

No sooner had 20th century Fox announced the release date of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, Ubisoft released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming DLC of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Dead Kings. And in case you forgot, Dead Kings is free for everyone who owns Unity. It will be able to download on January 13th for Xbox One and PC users and on January 14th for PS4 users. Sweet deal, no?

Following the disappointing launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ubisoft had promised a free game to to all season pass holders and a free DLC to all those who own Assassin’s Creed Unity to make up for the inconvenience caused to players. And they are standing on their word. So noble. Not.

Players need to keep in mind that by downloading Dead Kings they will be waiving their right to sue Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Unity’s broken state at launch (according to the terms and conditions of the download). So if you are busy filing a lawsuit against Ubisoft, you probably should NOT download Dead Kings.

Now coming to the trailer at hand, it looks amazing like all Ubisoft trailers do. The DLC doesn’t look like it is going to contribute anything to the main storyline unlike Freedom Cry. The setting gives a feeling of Deja vu reminding the catacombs of Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.

Given the fact that the DLC is free, it looks like it could be worth the time. However, the real question here is that is downloading a free DLC worth waiving away the rights to sue a broken game? Let us know in the comments below!!!
