HUAEWI HONOR HOLLY [ because price matters ]

Last Updated On: October 22nd, 2014

The smartphone business has taken a big jump in recent years and things have turned just great for both users and the producers. There was a time when thinking of a smartphone was a big deal for a guy with “not so heavy” pockets. But things have changed now it’s either a blackberry users or our grandparents who prefer phones with keypads. In 2014 different smartphone brands have launched different models, most of which fall in mid-range budget , and earlier this week HUAWEI launched Huawei honor holly…which is not just falling into the market , but also gonna give a very tough competition to other smartphones like zenfone 4.5,and moto E. The reason is that this smartphone costs just 7k …yeah that’s the wow factor, great specification and great price is what makes this phone the new big fish in smartphone business. Here is a quick review:

The design is simple and elegant , it looks way above its price range, one can surely experience high segment smartphone feel with this. On back it consists of plastic cover which doesn’t look cheap, comprising of 8MP camera and speakers on lower left area which does give a good sound quality however if kept on the table the sound will get muffled which isn’t very good thing. On front ,users are provided with 2 MP camera and 5″ large screen which gives it a premium look overall , but thing tgat will disappoint users is it doesn’t have gorilla glass protection ,so if you are one with short temper this buddy isn’t for you as this comes without it’s safety helmet. But otherwise it’s a good to go on design factor.

Honor holly comes with 2 megapixel front camera with OmniVision branding and it is good to go for a simple video calling and occasional selfies đŸ˜‰ its gives an average output without much of the filters. On rare camera holly is incorporated with Samsung’s BSI 8.0 megapixel back gives a good sharp images in good day lighting ,but when tested in low lighting it doesn’t give a candy in the mouth experience. But this device gives a better output for an 8 megapixel camera.

Holly has used its own UI known as emotion UI rather than stock android (users are bored of stock android looks anyway) , it makes the phone’s display look more beautiful, It is a flat UI without any app drawer and there are multiple home screens which can be customized easily by the user. It is simple, easy to use and responsive, which makes it user-friendly and intuitive.they have made sure to put most of the things that user expects from a premium smartphone.
The device comes packed with latest android version v.4.4.4 (kitkat), so the users get to experience most of the stuffs available . Huawei has made sure to stuff what users have desiered since long at this price range.

Holly gives a great performance as compared to other phones at this price range as it runs on Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 and mediatek MT6582 CPU these two makes holly a good performer . And another uprising factor is 1gb ram that makes it even better.
The battery capacity is 2000 mAH which is decent enough for a moderate user. However even though company promises a good battery life it looks just fine. And it not a “Grab-the-deal” device for heavy gamers as it won’t last for too long and also gaming experience isn’t very impressive when it comes to high end games.

The final conclusion cannot be decided just with this , it depends on the user so:
Why buy:
1.good price range, value for money.
2.good camera quality.
3.good performance.
Why not to buy:
1.Lags during high-end games.
2.battery not good for heavy users. proper protection for screen
