With the success of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple set a new record just recently by becoming globally the first company worth $700bn. In fact, this amount is higher than the GDP of most of the countries in the world. According to a report by The Guardian, the shares of the tech-giant have increased to around 60% this year, thanks to the launch of the two above mentioned smartphones.

As reported by Apple, the company sold around 39.3m iPhone handsets so far in the third quarter. In addition to that, the company expects yet another record by achieving more sales in the 4th quarter than it did during 2010. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple said, “At this point we are selling everything we’ve made and the year 2014 is one for the record books.”
