Android has proved it’s capability in the first quarter of this year.
It has aquired 53% activations in US , which makes android the most popular OS used in smartphones .
Apple’s iOS acquired the second spot by with 42 % activations while the rest of the platdorms lke OS Windows & Blackberry could acquire only 1 % .
This data has been calculated by CIRP based on the no. of activations but rather not on the no. of devices running on Android , iOS etc .
Google is happy as Android market shares had fall behind iOS by 2% in the last quarter of 2013.
